It’s time for the Beer & Whiskey Expo Finland 2014 and we are thrilled! Along with the Finnish craft beer greatness, there are beers from breweries like BrewDog, Founders, To Øl, Sierra Nevada and many others. All the beer lists can be found from a Finnish beer blog, JaskanKaljat.

Sori at the Expo
We dedicated our range to our favorite beer style, India Pale Ale. We bring our two flagship IPA’s, the Investor IPA and OoO Session IPA (Vol.2). The newest addition is What is my name? Black Rye IPA, which is black and bitter like Finland’s Social Affairs and Health ministers set of values.
We actually did some Do-It-Yourself work and built our bar counter out of three wooden pallets. One part we like about craft beer is that there’s a possibility go MacGyver on some other stuff, too. One day brewing, one day finances – and the other day you are roasting pallets at a campsite on some rainy Friday morning.
Sori Beers
Here’s our India Pale Ale counter selection of beers. We wanted to introduce our favorite beer style and dedicated this counter for IPA only. Hope we get you to taste this stuff, since if you ask us (or anyone), it’s pretty great!
What is my name? Black Rye IPA – 6,3% alc. 80 IBU
In Finland, you can’t really talk about things with their own names. They actually banned this event to use the word whiskey in their name – and this is part whiskey expo. So, we got angry and rebellious with our beer.
Our very special beer for this event is a Black IPA (or a Cascadian Black Ale, if you prefer). This is just like the name: it’s black and it’s an IPA. It’s not roasted IPA, not Imperial Stout – it’s IPA.
Tastes ripe tropical fruit with some fresh grapefruit. Finnish rye among with a hint of dark malt brings some sweetness and body – and of course, color. This is black and bitter like Finland’s Social Affairs and Health ministers set of values. Hopped with Amarillo, Centennial, Citra & Magnum. Humongous 80 IBU and 6,3% alc. Since our brewery is a building site, this is brewed at Kuninkaankartano Brewery.

[hr]Investor IPA – 6,9% alc. 87 IBU
Investor IPA is a big part of our story. This brewery project is funded with crowdfunding and by craft beer enthusiastic investors who share our vision and feel our passion. This is a glass raised to all those 225 people who made Sori Brewing possible. We bet you all enjoy this one.
This West Coast style tropical IPA is a dedication to our greatest influence, California and Oregon craft breweries. Using humongous amounts of the freshest hops we could get, we managed to brew a beer that came our instant personal favorite.
Hopped with Simcoe, Amarillo, Cascade, Centennial and Magnum hops giving it some tropical fruit, grapefruit and hints of piney notes. This west coast style IPA has 6,9% ABV and it’s fruity hops flies it all the way to 87 IBU.
This is brewed with our own equipment at Teerenpeli Brewery. Brewed without compromises and with dedication to make the West Coast style IPA all true hop heads deserve. Packed with flavor and brewed in American style. This is where we are good at.

[hr]OoO Session IPA (2nd Edition) – 4,7% alc. 63 IBU
Working your tail off in a dead-end job and losing your passion? Put your ‘Out of Office’ mode on and leave your desk, for good. This hoppy and refreshing Session IPA is all about pursuing your dreams, even if it’s just for a moment. After a few of these, you may want to call your boss and tell him/her straight. Would you dare? Flip a coin and let the faith decide.
This lightweight beast is hopped with Simcoe, Amarillo and Columbus hops giving it some tropical fruit, grapefruit and hints of piney notes. This Session IPA has 4,7% ABV and it’s very hoppy, majestic 63 IBU. Also brewed at Teerenpeli.
